Don Bosco Boys and Girls

Together we continue to transform lives and write more happy-ending stories.

For the past twelve years we have both directly and indirectly contributed to improving the quality of life of more than 60,000 Dominicans through the network of Don Bosco Boys and Girls assistance programs.

Thanks to the backing of our customers, collaborators and suppliers, we play an active role in the Don Bosco Boys and Girls network through various fundraising and collaborative projects, and also develop programs aimed at contributing to the education and support of more than 4,000 children and adolescents who take part in the programs each year.

Campaigns such as the annual Help Us to Go Further Fundraiser, Help Us to Soar Higher, 1+1 Program, Be a King Magus, Annual Book Drive, collection boxes placed in stores, and exclusive designer jewelry by Laura Tosato; are just some of the projects that generate ongoing income for the institution directly benefiting the young people in the network via training programs that include the following:

Automotive Training Workshop
These workshops provide young people with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that will allow them to compete in the field of auto mechanics, thus facilitating their insertion into the job market.

Homework Centers
Our homework centers encourage the habit of reading among students and teach them writing skills to enhance their abilities.

Skill-Building Summer
Children, adolescents and young people enjoy summer recreational activities, including sports, cultural and artistic activities that promote the integral development of children.

Learning Spaces
Designed to reinforce school learning, these spaces also provide tools for the integral development of the students and assessment of their different potentials.

Teacher Training
These courses seek to prepare the teachers in the network in the foundations of Salesian philosophy to infuse the youth with Christian values.

Embracing Spirit
Helping teachers become better acquainted with their students through ascertaining and becoming familiarized with their personal, family and social background is the goal of this program. It allows educators to grasp the reality of each boy and girl and reach out to them.

Socialization
Children and young individuals in this activity are given the opportunity to interact among themselves and with others, preparing for them for life in society.

Social and Legal Assistance
The objective here is to contribute to the social well-being of the children and their families, liaising between government, community and social welfare entities that assist them in meeting their basic healthcare, social safety and educational needs.
